Accounting Knowing Better (AKB) is a seminar designed and intended for new Accounting students at Universitas Airlangga to introduce them to the world of accounting. Through this AKB seminar, new students are expected to become familiar with the Accounting study program at Universitas Airlangga and understand various aspects of their studies and future career prospects. This allows them to plan early for their future careers and how to maintain them. Therefore, we designed this activity with the theme "Why Accounting Professionals Should and Will Stay Relevant for More Time to Come." With this theme, we hope this seminar will provide new Accounting students in 2024 with initial knowledge about studying in the field of Accounting while also achieving the overall objectives of this AKB.

This year's AKB seminar raised the theme, "Why Accounting Professionals Should and Will Stay Relevant for More Time to Come," which is based on the future job prospects of the Accounting field. This is considering that many current professions in various fields, for example socio-economic, including those working in the accounting world are starting to be threatened by the potential for automation in the future. For this reason, we chose this theme with the hope that new Accounting students can understand that their skills are still very much needed in the business world, despite the challenges of technological advancements. Not only that, we also hope that through this AKB seminar, new students can get to know UNAIR Accounting better so that it can trigger a sense of pride and a strong commitment to continue their studies in the Bachelor of Accounting Universitas Airlangga.

Ultimately, the new Accounting students of 2024 are expected to uphold their respective visions and missions and excel compared to other accounting graduates. This will motivate them to compete in the workforce and ultimately contribute to the sustainable implementation of Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) point 8, concerning Decent Work and Economic Growth in Indonesia.
