PRODES (Village Product Development) 2025 is a flagship work program initiated by the External Division of the Accounting Student Association, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga for the 2025 period. This program is present as a tangible form of student contribution in supporting sustainable development in rural areas through a collaborative approach and based on local potential. PRODES 2025 specifically targets Marmoyo Village, Kabuh District, Jombang Regency, East Java, as the location for the main activity implementation. This village was chosen because it has a wealth of promising natural resources and considerable potential for local product development.
The main objective of PRODES 2025 is to empower village communities by improving the quality of life in three important aspects: economy, health, and education. In the economic sector, this program will provide counseling on the effective and efficient management of agricultural products, considering that agricultural products are the village's main commodity. This activity is expected to increase the added value of local products and support the growth of agricultural and agro-industry-based village entrepreneurs. In the health sector, free health check-ups will be carried out for residents of Marmoyo Village by collaborating with medical personnel from the nearest health facility, so that they can help detect and prevent diseases early. Meanwhile, in the education sector, the focus of activities will be directed at children from kindergarten to elementary school through interactive counseling on the importance of maintaining health and understanding the basics of economics. This is expected to instill awareness from an early age about the importance of healthy living and financial literacy as provisions for the next generation of the village.
Overall, PRODES 2025 is not only a community service program, but also a forum for establishing synergy between students and the community in creating sustainable positive change. With the spirit of collaboration, PRODES 2025 is expected to be the first step in realizing an independent village that is able to explore, manage, and develop local potential optimally.
