Prepare for Competition (PoC) is one of the flagship work programs of KSEI AcSES FEB Universitas Airlangga which is under the auspices of the student organization (ORMAWA) of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga . KSEI AcSES is an organization that focuses on Islamic economic da'wah and scientific development through various work programs aimed at improving student insight and achievement. One concrete manifestation of this commitment is the PoC work program specifically designed to foster and train students in facing various competitions, especially in scientific fields such as Business Plans, Essays, Scientific Papers, and others.
PoC aims to provide provisions to participants so they are able to improve their competence and readiness to participate in competitions, both at the national and international levels. Through material presentation sessions and interactive discussions held online through the Zoom Meeting platform, this activity opens opportunities for students from all over Indonesia to participate and gain insights from inspiring speakers.
The 2025 PoC activity was held for two days, namely on May 3-4, 2025, and consisted of two sessions each day. The speakers who attended this activity included:
Hasan Abdul Bar – Gold Medalist of PKM-VGK PIMNAS 36 and UNESA's Top Achievement Student 2024 (Topic: Organization & Achievement),
Arif Nur Prastyaji – Outstanding Student of State University of Malang (Topic: Business Plan Competition),
M. Nizam Zulfi – Finalist of National Pilmapres 2024 and Mawapres 1 Universitas Brawijaya 2024 (Topic: Scientific Writing),
Rafi Aurelian – President & Co-founder of Bring Changes and World Champion of UNESCO Hackathon in Jordan (Topic: International Competition).
This PoC program is in line with the goals of sustainable development (SDGs) especially on point 4, namely Quality Education, because through this activity participants are encouraged to continue learning, improve their capacity, and have high competitiveness in academic and non-academic fields. Furthermore, PoC is also relevant to SDGs point 8, namely Decent Work and Economic Growth, because competitions such as Business Plan and PKM are the first step in creating innovative ideas that can contribute to economic growth and entrepreneurship.
With this PoC activity, KSEI AcSES hopes to continue producing outstanding students who are able to bring honor to the campus and provide a positive impact on the wider community through their work and innovations. This activity is clear evidence that collaboration between administrators and well-designed work programs can make a significant contribution to improving the quality of human resources in Indonesia.
