Abstract

The bag and suitcase craft industry in Sidoarjo district is specifically developed with the nature of the village economy. As an industrial center, it is hoped that its existence can continuously improve the village economy and be able to provide products according to consumer tastes. To achieve this goal, the bag and luggage craft industry cannot be separated from the influence of the business environment, both external and internal. External factors are factors that cannot be controlled by the company, while internal factors are factors that can be controlled by the company. This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing how much external factors consisting of the government, suppliers and competitors as well as internal factors consisting of product mix, experts, production capacity and wage levels will affect the performance of the suitcase dart bag industry in Indonesia. Sidoarjo Regency. For this analysis, a Multiple Linear Regression model is used with the following equation: Y = -10,9711 + 1,1315X2 + 0,0171X4 + 1,30070-04X6 - 7,5653E-04X7. Based on the results of simultaneous testing, it is known that simultaneously only the supplier factor, product mix, production capacity and wage level have a significant influence on the performance of the bag and suitcase craft industry in Sidoarjo Regency with an F count of 13,813 which is greater than F table of 2,53 ; while government factors, competitors and experts have no significant effect, meaning that the first hypothesis is not proven. From the partial test results, it is known that of the four factors that have a significant influence, it turns out that the supplier factor has a dominant influence on the performance of the bag and luggage craft industry in Sidoarjo Regency with a contribution rate of 33,24%, thus the second hypothesis is not proven.
