Abstract
This study aims to analyze resistance to change based on multidimensional concepts (ie thoughts, feelings, and behavior) with communication of change and personal valence as antecedents. This research involves PT BPRS Lantabur Tebuireng as the object of research, where PT BPRS Lantabur Tebuireng is in an effort to fulfill the change plan. A quantitative approach was used in this study, where a survey was used as a procedure to collect data through a questionnaire. The designed questionnaire was then distributed to 66 employees as research respondents. In addition, PLS-SEM was used as a research analysis method. The results showed that communication of change and personal valence as antecedents were able to predict all components of resistance to change (ie thoughts, feelings, and behavior), and communication of change was also able to predict personal valence. In addition, personal valence is able to mediate the relationship between communication of change and the three components of resistance to change. Finally, this research also offers a number of implications, both theoretical and practical.
