Abstract

Utilization of Information Technology and users is an interconnected entity because the satisfaction felt by users in using Information Technology is one of the benchmarks in assessing the success of the use of Information Technology. It is a benchmark because users are satisfied with Information Technology, the more users will use the Information Technology. With the creation of user satisfaction on the use of information technology, it is expected that it will further facilitate operational activities in supermarkets and will also automatically contribute to smoothing the business continuity of the company.

This study aims to determine user satisfaction with the use of Information Technology in operational activities at COCO Supermarket. To achieve this goal, in-depth observations and interviews were carried out with users based on user levels, namely operational level, supervisor level, manager level and top manager level, as well as evaluating the satisfaction felt by users on the use of information technology used.

The results of the analysis show that users consisting of cashiers, head cashiers and department purchase managers, managers and top managers are satisfied in the following matters: operation, timeliness, conformity with what is needed, documentation, security systems, budgeting or funds, increased comfort , good relationship with IS unit, involvement in system management, knowledge of business by IS unit and professionalism by IS unit. However, there are some things that are not satisfied by the users, namely the accuracy and completeness of information and access. So it can be said that overall users are satisfied with the use of existing information technology, although there are still things that are felt to be unsatisfied. However, this dissatisfaction does not affect overall user satisfaction with the use of information technology because users realize that the lack of accuracy and incompleteness of information that occurs is not caused by system errors, but solely because of human error.

Therefore, to minimize the occurrence of human errors, it is necessary to have more supervision on the EDP, especially those in charge of entering data so that errors do not occur in data entry. Thus, users will feel more satisfied with the use of existing Information Technology.
