INTELLECTUAL WEEK AND ECONOMY AND BUSINESS STUDENTS TOGETHER 2019 (PIKMEN 2019)

Study Orientation and Campus Introduction (OSPEK) for new students is one of the
one door of cadre for new students in entering the world of college.
Various forms and types of OSPEK have been carried out with various methods and targets that are
set by the executor. What senior students need to emphasize as
implementing OSPEK is the achievement of targets in carrying out student learning
new to the world of education.
Major activities related to new students at the Faculty of Economics and
Business (FEB) Universitas Airlangga (Unair) has a brand image called PIKMEN
(Intellectual Week and Togetherness of Economics and Business Students) with the theme
“Building Millennial Young Generation as Responsive, Active, and Capable Persons
Expressing Feelings to the Surrounding Environment”. The event emphasizes
to feel the togetherness and intellectuality of students which will be carried out by
new students. The format of the activity is expected to unite and uphold
morals and togetherness of new students from various cross-departments to get to know
with each other, more than that, it can strengthen cross-generational relations
students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga.
PIKMEN 2019 is a series of values delivery where new students
given insight into the economy not only from an economic point of view, but also from
entrepreneurial angle. In PIKMEN 2019 new students are required to be active and
responsive in discussion forums, as a miniature of the atmosphere of lectures at FEB Unair and
also to hone students' proactive critical attitude towards something. In addition, students
new students are also equipped with hard skills related to business plans, so that new students will
trained in making business, as the output target of FEB Unair students. Activity
to implement the expression of feelings towards the surrounding environment will also
carried out with community service around Campus B Unair. This activity
