Tax Plore UI 2018 Scientific Writing Competition

Tax Plore Scientific Writing Competition is an annual event organized by the University of Indonesia Fiscal Administration Student Association or KOSTAF. This event was held to bring together economics students as well as an opportunity to convey ideas and solutions offered related to taxation in the digital era.

This year's Tax Plore Scientific Writing Competition has a big theme, namely: “Taxation in the Digital Age”. This theme was raised in accordance with the momentum of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 which was proclaimed to be a new means in the industry where the majority of activities in the industry can be digitized by increasing business efficiency and effectiveness, so it requires thinking about the challenges and opportunities of taxation in the digital era.

This agenda has three stages, starting with the preliminary round selected from various universities in Indonesia and determining the top 10 who will qualify for the final round or presentation stage and then determining the 5 best teams to advance to the study case round, then the 3 best teams to determine the 1st place winner, 2 and 3.

The teams that made it into the final round were Telkom University, Airlangga University, University of Indonesia, Gajah Mada University, Sebelas Maret University and STAN State Finance Polytechnic. The final result of the competition was Gajah Mada University ranked first, second place by STAN State Finance Polytechnic and third place by Airlangga University on behalf of Yuliandi Fikri, 1 Development Economics Study Program and Hasbi Ashshidiqi D2015 Taxation 3.
