The Indonesian Challenge on Economic Ideas is an annual event organized by the Economics Study and Discussion Forum, Faculty of Economics and Business, Gajah Mada University. This event was held to bring together economics and business students as well as a place to convey ideas and solutions offered related to the latest economic issues.

This year's Indonesian Challenge on Economic Ideas has a big theme, namely “Reviving Hope: Fostering Economic Resilience in the Post Crisi Era”. This theme was raised in accordance with the momentum of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 which was proclaimed to be a new means in the industry where the majority of activities in the industry can be digitized by increasing business efficiency and effectiveness so that thinking is needed to answer challenges and opportunities so as not to return to a time of crisis.

This agenda has three stages, starting with the preliminary round which was selected from various universities in Indonesia and determined the top 10 who passed to the final round or presentation stage and then the 5 best teams were determined to compete for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

The teams that made it into the final round were Gajah Mada University, Siliwangi University, Airlangga University, Trunojoyo Madura University, University of Indonesia, Sebelas Maret University and Semarang State University. The final result of the competition was Gajah Mada University, the second place by the University of Indonesia and the third place by the University of Indonesia.
