Ambassador of FEB Unair 2018

The 2018 FEB UNAIR AMBASSADOR election was held lively on 15 - 31 October 2018. The selection of FEB Ambassadors was attended by the best sons and daughters of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga. Three awards were up for grabs at this prestigious event, the highest being the Ambassador of Friendship, the Favorite Ambassador, and the highest being the Ambassador of Feb. The event is a proving ground for feb students and students to show that hard skills and soft skills must go hand in hand.

A total of 24 female students participated in this year's Duta. Their journey is not as easy as turning the palm of the hand directly to become a finalist, of course they have to go through several stages to become a finalist for the 2018 FEB Unair Ambassador. Participants must go through two stages of selection before entering the quarantine stage. In the first selection stage, there were written tests, interviews, and catwalk tests which left 16 potential ambassadors to fight for the second stage. The second selection stage is a showcase of the talents of the prospective ambassadors, some of which show talent in singing, reading poetry, speeches, presenters, dancing, and so on. This second stage is the final selection stage before determining who is entitled to fill the 10 finalist seats for the 2018 FEB Ambassadors and advance to the quarantine stage.

The determination of the 10 finalists for the 2018 FEB Ambassadors was not easy, the judges discussed it for a long time to determine them. Finally, the 10 best names from the best were chosen to be finalists and proceed to the quarantine stage, namely Viona Oryza (2016 Management), Putri Silwi (Accounting 2016), Nadya Bella (Management 2017), Regina Kurnia (Management 2016), Michael Hans (Economics). Development 2017), M. Firdaus (Development Economics 2017), Dewi Putri (Accounting 2017), Vriliandia Iranoza (Management 2017), Laila Hidayat (Management 2017), and the only student from the youngest batch, namely Yeremia Singgih (Management 2018).

Quarantine was carried out three times. This first quarantine was the provision of material to FEB's by the Head of BEM FEB Unair 2018, the provision of material by the 2016 Ambassador Association, Material Ambassador Ethics, and Beauty and Handsome Class from Wardah as a supporter of the event. Furthermore, the second quarantine was the provision of personal branding materials by Mrs. Moniq as a lecturer, the provision of public speaking materials by Cak Daniel, and English Class by Mr. Gesang. The third quarantine was the last briefing on procedures on stage for the peak night of the 2018 FEB Ambassadors.

The peak night for the 2018 FEB Ambassadors was held on October 31, 2018 at the Soepoyo Hall, ABC Building, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga to compete for the highest throne, namely the 1st winner of the 2018 FEB Ambassadors. Preparations for make-up and so on have been prepared from the morning before the event which took place in the afternoon. day. The peak night of the FEB ambassador election was attended by ambassadors from other faculties and even university ambassadors outside Airlangga University.

Of the top 10 finalists selected for the 2018 FEB Ambassadors, the top four will compete for the 1st place for the FEB Ambassadors. The four finalists are Michael Hans (Development Economics 2017), Laila Hidayat (Management 2017), Putri Silwi (Accounting 2016), and Yeremia Singgih (Management 2018). The top four selected were then questioned by the jury. From these questions, the jury judged based on the ability to answer the jury's questions. In the end, Yeremia Singgih (Management 2018) came out as the 1st place for the 2018 FEB Ambassadors eliminating her three competitors, followed by Nadya Bella (Management 2017) as Favorite Ambassadors, and M. Firdaus (Development Economics 2017) as Friendship Ambassadors.
