Intellectual Casual Talk: Live Casual Discussion with the Experts

Friday, July 24, 2020 Department of Strategic Studies and Action (KASTRAT) BEM FEB UNAIR held an Intellectual Leisure Talk (BSI) with the theme "Indonesian Economic Recovery: New Normal for Employment". This activity is in the concept of a semi-webinar followed by a discussion session between speakers and participants. Speakers in this BSI activity consisted of Mr. Sunarya as the Head of Placement for Employment Expansion of the Office of Manpower and Transmigration of East Java Province who discussed from the perspective of policy-making practitioners, Mr. Rumayya as Lecturer of FEB Unair who discussed the topic from an academic point of view, and Mr. Jhon Hardy as a Consultant and Business Practitioner who discussed in terms of practitioners as business executors in the New Normal era. 

Mr. Sunarya is presenting material related to the topic of discussion. 

BSI activities are carried out using zoom media that can be accessed by participants. It was attended by 100 participants consisting of students from various regions in Indonesia. The event was hosted by Zukhruf Febrianto who is also the Chief Executive of BSI activities. The presence of three speakers with different backgrounds made the content of the presentations presented also varied, thus creating a lively discussion atmosphere for both the speakers and participants. Presentations and discussions between speakers and participants took place from 19.00 WIB to 21.15 WIB. This activity is expected to be able to provide new insights for fellow students to understand employment conditions in the New Normal era after the covid pandemic strikes.
