"English Language Proficiency Project"

AED is one of the work programs organized by the AcSES faculty-level student organization. The work program is useful in improving English language skills by FEB students who are members of AcSES. Mentors or AED lecturers in 2018 are from AcSES students who have fairly good English skills and also from an alumni of the 2014 English literature student named Mei Indah Sari. There is no penny spent to join the work program.

AcSES English Day has been going on since March 15, 2018, starting with a pretest. Then on 27 April 2018 AED discussed about Parts of Speech part 1. The next AED discusses the implementation of part of speech (Part of speech 2) which was held on 04 May 2018. Then it was held on 06 September 2018 filled with Listening section. The committee uses two songs, English vocabulary followed by speak up about the essence of the song they are listening to. Then, it was continued on October 18 2018. This work program was carried out from 18.00 to 20.40 WIB. Finally, the posttest was held on November 01, 2018 in room 204.

The existence of the AcSES English Day is expected to be a provision for AcSESors in using English, especially for AcSESors who want to take part in competitions or conference, and so on for overseas needs. Accessors here can learn English from listening to word structure or grammar. One of the success indicators of the AED is the increase in the AED posttest score and each participant who takes the AED dares to speak English even though they still use mixed languages (English and Indonesian)..
