Strategy for Mergers and Acquisitions of Banking in Indonesia by the Executive Director of OJK

The Financial Services Authority (OJK) today, Friday 19 October 2018 shares information and knowledge through a Public Lecture by Mr. Ariastiadi, Ph.D. as Executive Director of OJK with the topic of Banking Merger and Acquisition Strategy in Indonesia.

The public lecture was held in the Miendrowo Hall and was attended by 100 undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students from various majors at FEB Unair.

Mr. Ariastiadi said that the trend of bank mergers and acquisitions in Indonesia continues to increase from year to year, and this is due to the high ROA of banks as well as their large market share. While the purpose of mergers and acquisitions is to achieve the sustainability of economies of scale and growth in business volume.

The public lecture lasted for 2 hours with a very interesting question and answer session in the last 30 minutes. (mg)
