Blood Donation Breakthrough for Healthy Indonesia, BEM FEB Unair Holds 3rd Blood Donation
Starting from the sensitivity of other people, the Department of Community Service BEM, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) was able to mobilize awareness by organizing Blood Donation activities as well as health checks, eye checks, skin checks, and quantum checks. FEB Blood Donation this time is held 3 times a year. This time it was held at the Fadjar Notonegoro Hall (19/9) for the public without the slightest fee.
The 3rd blood donation has the theme "One Drop One Hope" to encourage a healthy lifestyle. With one drop of one hope, raising the significance of a drop of blood from and for others who need blood with full hope of healing like a healthy human being.
Diana as the chief executive said, Community Service BEM FEB UNAIR also cooperated with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), Kimia Farma, JAVA Eye Clinic, Fifgroup, and Laritta, to facilitate this social action activity in increasing the availability of blood at PMI.
"Alhamdulillah, this 3rd blood donation can bring hundreds of students from various agencies, and experience many levels that are better than previous blood donors," he added.
From 09:00 to 14:00, there were around 300 participants from UNAIR and outside students and FEB UNAIR academics who were enthusiastic about health checks and blood donations. However, prospective blood donors must pass requirements to qualify. Among them, in good health, not an alcoholic, with a minimum weight of 50 kg, normal blood pressure, not menstruating, and the like.
Waiting for the donor process must be boring, the participants get entertained by the appearance live acoustic from Expresso, the acoustic group of BEM Sega students, and the committee.
"By donating blood I get a tremendous positive impact on the body, and my blood can help others even if it's a drop of blood," said Cristyan, one of the donors from the D3 Electrical Engineering ITS.
Donors who pass the selection requirements and successfully donate blood will receive gifts from PMI, Fifgroup, and the committee. This gift is intended to appreciate the donor's concern for others, and of course the courage and time taken to share a drop of his blood for a Healthy Indonesia.
