Myanmar Graduates

UNAIR NEWS – The Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) graduation procession for the June 2021 period is an important and happy moment that graduates are waiting for. Even though it is held by the method blended, the June 2021 graduation which will be held on Saturday (26/06/21) is still running solemnly. 

On that occasion, Dr. Thinzar Win from Myanmar delivered his remarks, as a representative of the graduates. He admitted that it was an honor for him to be able to stand on the pulpit and give a speech. Thinzar also thanked him for the trust that had been given to him to represent the graduates.

The graduate of the Doctoral Program in Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR said that he felt comfortable and happy to live in Indonesia. For Thinzar, UNAIR, Surabaya, and Indonesia will always be in his heart, even though he will return to Myanmar after the graduation.

“I am really grateful to have the opportunity to live in a comfortable and peaceful Indonesia, especially at FEB UNAIR. Lecturers and education staff always provide services wholeheartedly, and always support us (graduates, ed), so that I can complete my studies in less than three years," he said.

Representing all graduates, Thinzar expressed his gratitude and respect to all parties who helped in all educational processes at UNAIR. So, he and other graduates can complete their education well.

In his speech, he also expressed his happiness for the achievement of UNAIR which was ranked 465 QS World University Rankings. Not to forget, Thinzar thanked university leaders, faculty leaders, and lecturers who were always patient in guiding and imparting knowledge, as well as their life journey to students.

"We hope that the knowledge we have gained so far, we can practice and benefit the community. In addition, we hope that the academic community will always be facilitated in all their problems, as they have made it easier and helped us during our education. We also apologize for the mistakes we made, we take all these mistakes as lessons for the future, "said Thinzar.

In addition, Thinzar also expressed his pride in being a graduate from UNAIR. Motto excellence with morality, UNAIR has taught its students how important it is to align intellectually with personality as a student.

“We need to realize that graduation is not the end of the struggle, but the beginning of our struggle through the post-graduation field. Let's close ranks together and share the knowledge that has been fought for so far to the community. We wish all of us success, as well as benefit the nation and the country," he concluded. (*)
