WITH DR. ISHMAH OSMAN – EDITOR OF THE JOURNAL OF ISLAMIC MARKETING AT EMERALD INSIGHT, LTD,

(FEB NEWS) The Department of Sharia Economics – Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) has successfully held an inspiring event, a Sharing Session, with the interesting theme, “Directing Journals to be Indexed by Scopus.” The event took place at Room 701, Seventh Floor, ABC Building, FEB UNAIR on November 16, 2023. The event was held for journal managers both within and outside UNAIR, lecturers, and students.

The keynote speaker at the event was Dr. Ishmah Osman, Editor of the Journal of Islamic Marketing at Emerald Insight, Ltd., and a lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia. Her presentation provided in-depth insights into the tricks and tips for getting a journal indexed by Scopus.

The Head of the Department of Sharia Economics – Prof. Dr. Sri Herianingrum, SE, M.Si, enthusiastically opened the event, expressing her gratitude for Dr. Ishmah Osman’s willingness to attend FEB UNAIR. Prof. Dr. Sri Herianingrum, SE, M.Si also expressed her hope that through the sharing session event, Dr. Ishmah Osman can provide support, motivation, can complete, perfect, journals in the Department of Sharia Economics, as well as for those outside Unair so that its significant benefits can be spread.

This event, which is full of valuable information, is expected to be a strategic step in disseminating knowledge and improving the quality of journals within FEB UNAIR and outside UNAIR. Furthermore, it is hoped that it will also improve the quality of FEB UNAIR student writing.
