(FEB NEWS) Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) in collaboration with Bank Jago and Kontan successfully held a Talk Show event entitled “OPTIMIZING YOUR CAREER PATH WITH SMART FINANCIAL CHOICES” on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at the Fadjar Notonagoro Hall, 2nd floor of FEB UNAIR. The event was held open to the public, opened by the Vice Dean I of FEB UNAIR – Dr. Wisnu Wibowo and aimed to discuss students' readiness to face the complex world of work by improving employability skills and financial management (SDG's 4).

Dr. Wisnu Wibowo, in his remarks, expressed the importance of thorough career planning in achieving success, with the analogy that success must be planned and achieved step by step, similar to climbing the stupa of Borobudur temple. The event also brought together representatives from Kontan and Bank Jago, who are committed to helping students understand what needs to be prepared for success in the world of work, both in improving skills and managing finances wisely.

The collaboration between FEB UNAIR and Bank Jago not only supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 on quality education, but also SDG 17, which focuses on partnerships to achieve these goals. Through this strong collaboration, both institutions are committed to strengthening cooperation and synergy to create a broader positive impact on society, both in the fields of education and economic empowerment.

The discussion featured numerous key points, ranging from the importance of employability and management skills for students facing the world of work to tips for managing finances for Generation Z. This discussion aligns with the event's background, which emphasizes that student preparedness is key to success in the fast-paced era of technology and globalization.

Present as speakers at this event: Yova Shera Sianturi – HR Content Creator & Founder of PT. Chrishera Consulting, Ninnasi Muttaqin – Financial Planner, and Muhammad Pandu – Value Proposition Manager of Bank Jago, provided various insights and important tips to students, including the things that most differentiate the world of college from the world of work, common mistakes related to financial management, smart tips for managing finances using the Jago application, and so on. All of this aims to provide a better understanding to students in facing career and financial challenges in the future.
