FEB UNAIR DELEGATES FOR BIMP-EAGA YOUTH BUS 2025

(FEB NEWS) Three students from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Airlangga were selected as Indonesian delegates in the BIMP-EAGA Youth Bus 2025 international program. They are Fionna Nur Illahi (Bachelor of Islamic Economics), Nur Maulida Al Badriyah (Bachelor of Islamic Economics), and Nanda Irfan Fathan (Bachelor of Management). The three represent FEB UNAIR to collaborate with innovative youth from various countries in the BIMP-EAGA region.

The 16-day program, from November 22 to December 7, 2025, brings together young people aged 18–35 from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia (Sabah and Sarawak), and the Philippines. Over the long duration, participants gain intensive experience in cross-border economic, entrepreneurial, and cultural exploration.

This activity was held at several strategic points in the BIMP-EAGA region, namely Brunei Darussalam, Sabah, and Sarawak (Malaysia). This cross-border trip gave participants the opportunity to directly observe the economic potential, cultural diversity, and social dynamics that are the main strengths of BIMP-EAGA subregional cooperation.
The BIMP-EAGA Youth Bus 2025 program aims to strengthen the role of youth entrepreneurs as the driving force of the regional economy. Through cross-border collaboration, participants are encouraged to develop entrepreneurial capacity, build international networks, and understand how innovation and cooperation can drive subregional economic growth.

The involvement of the FEB UNAIR delegation is expected to broaden their horizons, increase socio-economic awareness, and make a real contribution to Indonesia's future economic development.
The program was implemented comprehensively, with an agenda that brought the delegation together with key policymakers, including the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports of Brunei Darussalam, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Sabah, and the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneurship Development of Sarawak. Furthermore, participants interacted directly with young entrepreneurs, creative industry players, and active youth communities in Sabah and Sarawak.

Not only focusing on economics and entrepreneurship, participants also participated in culturalization activities, field visits, and knowledge development sessions related to collaboration and synergy within the BIMP-EAGA region. This program provides a holistic experience that combines academic learning, cultural exploration, and real-world collaboration opportunities.
The participation of FEB UNAIR students in the BIMP-EAGA Youth Bus 2025 demonstrates the faculty's commitment to encouraging students to participate at the regional and international levels. Through this program, delegates are expected to bring home new insights, inspiration, and global networks that will benefit the development of entrepreneurship and the economy in Indonesia.
