(FEB News) Bayu A. Fianto, PhD, is a lecturer at the Department of Sharia Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia and Chair of the SDGs Center at Universitas Airlangga present as Guest Speaker at the 2021 NCHU Sustainability Workshop, on Friday, 20 August 2021 .

This 2021 workshop, supported by the Higher Education Sprout Project at National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan, investigated how organizations, both corporate and nonprofit, can contribute to a more sustainable society. As we know, over the past decade, it has become clear that governments alone cannot achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Next, students will understand the purpose and rationale behind the concept of “sustainability,” thus gaining a comprehensive understanding of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At the end of the session, students will be given the opportunity to develop a sustainable business plan that upholds the SDGs.
