FROM FEAR, UNAIR FEB ALUMNI IS NOW SUCCESSFUL AS ASSISTANT MANAGER AT PLN

FEBNEWS - Brigitta Ayu Diantati, familiarly known as Brigitta, a 2008 graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Management program at Airlangga University, never imagined her career would begin in a remote location in Purwakarta, far from the security of working close to home in Surabaya. "I'm a timid person. I only wanted to work in Surabaya," she admitted. However, fate brought her to the heart of the country's power plant.

As a newcomer to the PLN Group since 2015, Brigitta has had to come to terms with a daily routine that demands complete independence. Her first boarding house, long bus rides, and managing her own finances are all challenges a recent college graduate faces. "It turns out you can get used to it," she said, realizing that her fears are slowly being replaced by resilience. Now, after nine years of service and a transfer to the PT PLN (Persero) Training Center (Pusdiklat), Brigitta is serving as Assistant Manager of Communications & TJSL (Social and Environmental Responsibility). Her position involves not only designing social programs or managing the company's media, but also bridging the gap between PLN and the community.

According to him, every CSR program he designs is built on the principle of real impact, while every piece of public information he manages must be clear and accountable. The journey from a "timid" reluctant to leave home to a leader who manages the voice and concerns of a giant company was not an instant leap. He calls it a "growth" process.
"Growing isn't about getting there quickly," he said, referring to his life philosophy, "but about remaining caring throughout the process." That care is what he later returned to his alma mater.

Brigitta actively shares her experiences as a speaker in HIMA forums, bringing true stories about the multifaceted nature of the workplace, the courage to face uncertainty, and the true meaning of contribution. For her, the management skills she gained from FEB UNAIR are not just business management theory, but tools for managing change within herself, her company, and her community.
Now, she finds her strength in unexpected places. In her hands, personal fears have transformed into energies that empower communities, proving that the greatest contributions often come from the boldest first steps.
