The ability to communicate in English is more than just an academic skill, but a key to broadening horizons and expanding global perspectives. As an international language, English opens the door to global networks, study abroad opportunities, and a deep understanding of the world’s cultural diversity. In the spirit of fostering a supportive environment for the development of English proficiency among FEB Universitas Airlangga students, the Scientific Department of BEM FEB UNAIR 2026 proudly presents English Development (E-Dev) 2026.
This year, E-Dev carries the overarching theme “Step Up Your English” with the inspirational tagline “From Practice to Performance.” Our primary focus is to transform the learning process into tangible results. The concept of “Practice” is realized through a series of intensive campaigns focused on active speaking and grammar practice. We believe that true proficiency comes from consistency in practice and interaction.
The highlight of this event is the “Performance” component, which is reflected in the final stage of the program through the administration of the ELPT (English Language Proficiency Test). This test serves as an objective measure to assess the extent of participants improvement in English proficiency after completing the entire program. Through a series of practical exercises and evaluations, E-Dev 2026 is committed to providing a comprehensive platform for personal development.
This initiative is a concrete step in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Beyond ensuring inclusive and equitable Quality Education (SDG 4), E-Dev 2026 also actively contributes to Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8) by equipping students with essential communication skills that significantly enhance their employability and competitiveness in the global workforce.
Furthermore, by opening doors to global networks and cross-cultural understanding, this program fosters Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17). Through an interactive and results-based approach, E-Dev 2026 encourages FEB Unair students to push beyond their limits, embrace global opportunities, and prepare to confidently step onto the international stage.
