The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) has been actively involved in developing and nurturing Indonesia's human resources for over 60 years. As a leading institution in economics and business education, FEB UNAIR has achieved numerous outstanding achievements in education, research, and community service, placing it on par with prestigious institutions at the national, regional, and international levels.
The history of FEB UNAIR began in the early 1960s with the establishment of the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Airlangga , which only had two departments: General Economics and Corporate Economics. In 1963, the faculty expanded its scope by opening the Accounting Department, which later became one of the leading departments. Over time, FEB UNAIR continued to innovate to adapt to the needs of the labor market, one of which was through the establishment of the Corporate Administration Expert Education Program (PAAP) in 1975, which later expanded to include various departments such as Taxation and Marketing Management in the 1980s.
In the 1990s, FEB UNAIR added extension programs and improved educational infrastructure by establishing computer laboratories and integrating internet access. In 2001, the Business Education Center Building was constructed as a manifestation of the faculty's commitment to strengthening the relationship between academia and industry. Currently, FEB UNAIR has four departments: Accounting, Management, Economics, and Sharia Economics, all committed to producing quality graduates.
FEB UNAIR's achievements are recognized not only nationally but also internationally. Nationally, the faculty has achieved UNGGUL accreditation from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting (LAMEMBA), reflecting the quality of higher education in Indonesia. Internationally, FEB UNAIR has received accreditation from ABEST21 and FIBAA, affirming the global quality of its educational system.
With these various achievements, FEB UNAIR is determined to continue providing global-standard education, preparing its graduates to face the challenges of the knowledge-based economy. FEB UNAIR is also committed to supporting sustainable development and encouraging innovation through synergy between education, research, and collaboration with the industrial world.
