(HIMA PDIA NEWS) Monday, 2 Juni 2025 — The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, successfully held a Connect and Consult academic session featuring Associate Professor Dr. Noor Adwa Binti Sulaiman from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. The event, which took place in Room 605 of the ABC Building, ran from 13:00 to 15:00 WIB and was moderated by Dwi Prihatini. Organized by HIMAPDIA, the forum attracted enthusiastic participation from postgraduate students and young researchers aiming to strengthen their methodological competence and navigate the complexities of PhD life.

In her presentation, titled “Research, Resilience & Reality: Navigating Surveys, Interviews, and the PhD Life,” Dr. Adwa explored practical frameworks and decision-making strategies for choosing between surveys and interviews. Participants engaged in interactive segments including live polls, Likert-scale design workshops, and group role-plays simulating interview challenges. Key takeaways included the importance of clarity, neutrality, pilot testing, and ethical conduct in research design.
