After attending this course, students are expected to understand the basic concepts of international Islamic economics and finance, including international trade and finance, and the challenges they face. Students are also expected to know the latest developments in international economics from an Islamic perspective, primarily through journal articles.

This course discusses the basic concepts of International Economics and Finance, namely world trade, welfare, including producer and customer surplus, tariffs, corporate advantage, resources, and trade.

Students can formulate and use the tools and basic techniques of business modeling to effectively determine potential business ideas that are a solution to the problems of the community/people and have the potential for profit and sustainability in the form of an executive Summary Report which includes: analysis of industry and market strategies, analysis of marketing strategies, operational strategy analysis, management system and organizational strategy analysis, financial strategy analysis, funding strategy analysis, sharia compliance analysis, and comprehensive risk management analysis. The main output of this course is the Final Report of an integrated Business Plan Proposal which will be implemented in the form of Project Learning Based on Islamic Entrepreneurship & Business

Course content

This course provides students with knowledge about the basics of management in Islamic insurance companies. The basic knowledge includes principles, basic contracts, operating models, types, products, risk management, investment and marketing in Islamic insurance companies. Various basic techniques of sharia insurance are also provided to deepen this knowledge, including the basics of actuarial science, underwriting, risk and contribution calculations, as well as their application to life/family and general/sharia insurance products. The measurement of the health of sharia insurance companies is also given to complete knowledge about the management of sharia insurance companies in Indonesia.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will be able to understand Islamic monetary economics, which is essentially about the role of the central bank in influencing the economy through Islamic financial instruments and the existing transmission mechanisms. In addition to understanding the use of contemporary currencies and all their impacts, students will understand the basics of gold as a currency in making research proposals / thesis with good quantitative and qualitative methods.

Course content

This course teaches students related to the way the central bank regulates the economy through its instruments to regulate the money supply in the community. In addition to studying instruments, this course will also study the transmission mechanism that links central bank policy and the economy
