Abstract

Safety management practices not only improve working conditions but also positively influence employee attitudes and behavior related to safety, thereby reducing workplace accidents. This research measures employee perceptions of safety management practices, safety knowledge, safety motivation, safety compliance, and safety participation. This research conducted a survey by distributing questionnaires to 69 employees implementing Production Factory III PT. Petrokimia Gresik. Reliability and validity of all indicators are accepted. Data analysis uses Partial Least Square (PLS) with SmartPLS version 2.0. The results of these findings are that safety management practices have a direct and significant effect on safety performance, safety management practices have an indirect and significant effect on safety performance through safety knowledge, and safety management practices have an indirect effect on safety performance through safety motivation.
