(BEM NEWS) – The need for external collaboration capabilities is a major challenge for the public relations divisions of student organizations. Recognizing this urgency, the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (BEM FEB UNAIR), through the Department of External Relations, held Strategic Training 2026 on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Miendrowo Hall, Dharmawangsa-B Campus, FEB UNAIR.
Carrying the theme "Pitch to Partner: Sponsorship Strategy & Professional Presentation Technique", this activity presented Muhammad Aldiansyah, S.Bns., CEO of Hypenamic Group, as the keynote speaker. Attended by representatives of the public relations division from all student organizations within FEB UNAIR, this forum was designed as a space for developing applicable competencies and equipping participants with measurable sponsorship strategies and professional presentation techniques ready to be applied directly in the field.
In his presentation, Aldiansyah emphasized the importance of building mutually beneficial partnerships between event organizers and brands. "Through this activity, we hope participants will gain a more comprehensive understanding of sponsorship strategies and be able to implement them into their organizations' work programs," he said.
Interestingly, participants were divided into groups to develop pitch decks based on the case studies provided. Each group then presented their work through a pitch simulation, followed by direct feedback from the presenter. This hands-on experience provided participants with real-world experience and honed their professional communication and presentation skills.
Strategic Training 2026 contributed to strengthening students' capacities, particularly in communication, partner needs analysis, and the development of effective collaboration proposals. This structured, practical experience provides essential skills for navigating the dynamics of professional work, which demands strategic accuracy and clarity in the delivery of ideas.
More broadly, this activity reflects ongoing efforts to develop student resources that are adaptive, collaborative, and responsive to external needs. Therefore, Strategic Training activities are expected to continue to be present as a relevant and contextual learning space, particularly in strengthening student organizations' competencies in the area of external relations.
