Abstract
This study explains the effect of market competition on investment. The object of research in this study uses manufacturing companies in 2007-2014. The results of this study indicate that market competition can have a positive effect on investment. Market competition in this study is measured using the HHI value. The results of this study indicate that HHI has a negative effect on investment. This indicates that high market competition will increase investment. The relationship between HHI values ​​and market competition is inversely proportional. This study found that market competition is greatly influenced by environmental conditions or market forms that can be seen from the deviation value per sub-sector.
