Universitas Airlangga Team in the 5th PESTA at Trunojoyo University, Madura

5th PESTA (Trunojoyo Madura Sharia Economic Week 2018) is an activity that is able to stimulate students as agents of change in creating a better Indonesian country. The event with the theme "Towards an Innovative and Creative Young Generation in Realizing a Halal Life Style " has a series of events such as FGDs, presentations, conferences, field trips and outbounds, as well as national seminars. This agenda is a routine work program organized by the Sharia Economics Student Association, Trunojoyo Madura University.

On this occasion, Universitas Airlangga wants to contribute to it. The team consisting of Muhammad Ruliszar (Management 2016), Hilda Rohmawati (Development Economics 2016), and Yunita Nur Laili Fajar M. (Islamic Economics 2016) raised a paper entitled CSR Sukuk Productive Investment Model as an Accelerator for Halal Tourism Development in Sampang Regency in order to make it happen. Halal Life Style explains that the tourism sector is a potential sector contributing to GDP both regionally and nationally, one of which is in Sampang Regency. One step that can be taken is the development of halal tourism in the district. This development will have a positive impact on increasing output, income, employment, and increasing the positive image of Sampang Regency. In order to realize this, a funding strategy is needed that can accelerate local sharia tourism development activities through the Productive Investment Sukuk CSR model with mudharabah agreements. With this model, halal tourist attractions can be applied as underlying projects , but also companies that want to allocate CSR funds not to be consumptive but to make them more productive and sustainable.

5th PESTA event was held from 2-5 November 2018. Participants in this activity included: Students from the Bogor Agricultural Institute, Malang State University, Brawijaya University, Universitas Airlangga , IAIN Madura, Trunojoy Madura University, and others. With permission from Allah SWT. The UNAIR delegation succeeded in getting 3rd place.
