ASIA WORLD MODEL UNITED NATIONS III

FEB UNAIR - Asia World Model United Nations (AWMUN) III is an annual activity organized by the International Global Network. Awmun III is an international debate forum in which every delegation represents a country, then discusses the topics or problems that exist in the world today. With this activity can teach Universitas Airlangga students to not only learn about how to become superior leaders, but also to improve public speaking skills, diplomacy, and critical thinking, as well as to exchange knowledge and expand networking with other delegations originating from various countries.

This year, the event was held in Bali, Indonesia on 13 – 16 November 2019. AWMUN III was attended by 1,289 delegates from 78 countries. The representative from the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga who successfully passed was Sarita Adika Kinasih (S1 Management class of 2016). At this event, apart from having a meeting session, the delegation also carried out a beach clean-up, which is a beach cleaning movement which aims to encourage and maintain efforts made to take action against plastic waste. This beach clean-up was also carried out together with the United Nations Information Center (UNIC) Indonesia. At the end of the event, a closing ceremony & cultural night was also held where each delegate wore traditional or national clothes from each country.
