The International Academic and Business Visit between Universitas Airlangga and University Malaya is officially held from 21st February 2023 to 28th February 2023 in the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR). A total of 34 participants, with 22 from Universiti Malaya and 12 from FEB UNAIR, under the main theme of “Embracing Global Exposure in Digital Era”. The program has three main activities, which are academic lectures, business visits, and community development which are aimed to promote global exposure for local potentials, as well as to give students more understanding around elevating local potentials by adopting global business practices in digital era.
Upon arriving, students from Universiti Malaya are greeted by student buddies, committees, as well as welcome remarks by Martha Ranggi Primanthi, SE, Midec, Ph.D., Coordinator of International Office FEB UNAIR. The International Academic and Business Visit is attended by several FEB UNAIR officials and lecturers including Dr. Gancar Candra Premananto, S.E, M.Si – Head of Management Department of FEB UNAIR, Dr. Yetti Dwi Lestari, S.T., MT. – Secretary of Management Department, Made Gitanadya Ayu Ariani, SE., MSM – Secretary of the Bachelor of Management Study Program, Dr. Masmira Kurniawati, SE., M.SI. – Coordinator of the Master of Management Study Program of FEB UNAIR, Zahrin Haznina Qalby, S.M., M.Sc., Mochamad Thanthowy Syamsudin, SE., MAB., Wahyu Wisnu W, SE., M.Sc., Dr. Tri Siwi A, SE., M.Si., Zainul Musthofa, S.M., MBA., Chorry Sulistyowati, SE., M.Sc., and Harris Prasetya R, S.M., MM.
Other than academic lectures, students participated in activity games which aims to sharpen students skill regarding utilization of resources to achieve goals. Students are also given the opportunity to visit companies through business visit to learn more regarding company activities and how companies manage. Students has the chance to develop one of the local tourism in Kampung Ketandan, Surabaya through community development planning to achieve global exposure. Throughout the program, students will engage on activities that increases their skills regarding management skills and leadership as well as generating creative and inovative ideas.
With this program, students are expected to gain knowledge regarding management skills in a more global scale while also learn to develop local potentials to go international. We hope that students can learn more from each other (Universiti Malaya students and FEB UNAIR students) while also learn about the culture and the surroundings. International Academics and Business Visit Universitas Airlangga and Universiti Malaya with the main theme “Embracing Global Exposure in Digital Era” aims to embrace opportunities for students to solve the problem regarding management skills to face challenges in the digital era.
